Setting up Pimsical Stock Take.

How many times have you gone to a store and been frustated by them not having the product you want in stock?

Or seen boxes of overstocked inventory all over the store?

Ensuring you've got accurate inventory and stock levels in your stores is key to a great customer experience and to your businesses cash flow!

To help you maintain accurate inventory and stock levels, we've made running regular stock takes a breeze. Here is a quick guide to getting set up.

Setup

Firstly install Pimsical Stock Take app on your Shopify store. You've got a free trial, completely free, to get started and run your first stock takes!

Admin

Once installed, you'll then see our Admin page.

From here you can create stock takes, view there progress and end and actions the stock takes. This is where you can go to manage all your stock takes across all your locations.

POS

To run and participate in a stock take and scan in your stock. You'll need to add our Stock Take app to your Shopify POS homescreen.

Either follow this link to add the app to all your POS Devices or follow the steps below to add it to a single device. You will only need to do this once.

1. Ensure you have the Shopify POS app installed on your Apple or Android device.
2. Once logged in, click "Add Tile +"
3. Click on "App"
4. Click on "Stock Take (Inventory Count)"
5. Click "Add" on the App Extension section
6. Click "Save" to add the tile

From here you can create stock takes for the specific POS location, view there progress and end and actions the stock takes.

Most importantly you can join stock takes, this will allow you to participate in the stock takes and scan products from your Shopify POS Device.

We support any scanners connected to your Shopify POS Devices, whether it is the camera on your phone or a physical scanner.

You can then scan in your products, we will keep a count of how many have been scanned. When you're finished you can end and action your stock take, and we will change the inventory in Shopify to your stock take numbers.
