Transfer Orders & Peoplevox Warehouse
Transfer Orders are a way of moving stock between locations, whether it is your warehouse and retail store, or between two retail stores. They allow you to create a transfer order, which can be fulfilled by picking the items from one location and shipping them to another.
Stocky has been the way to manage stock transfers between locations in Shopify for a long time. However, Shopify has announced that they will be deprecating Stocky transfers and moving Transfers to Shopify Admin in 2025.
This guide is how you can use the new Transfers to further improve operational performance seamlessly across Shopify, PeopleVox and retail locations! If you are fed-up sending transfers PDFs and Excel files around your business, manually checking items and ensuring process has been followed, this guide is for you!

Our warehouse app now has two extra settings, so we can synchronise transfer orders from Shopify to your warehouse. And we will synchronise fulfilments from your warehouse back to Shopify, including our transfer orders. This means any transfers created in Shopify, with the warehouse location origin, will be seamlessly created in your Peoplevox warehouse and when they are picked, packed and dispatched from the warehouse that information will be automatically synchronised back to Shopify where the transfer will then be ready to be received at the retail location! No manual steps required or any changes in your usual processes!
Any transfers that originate at the warehouse location will be created in Peoplevox warehouse. We can keep adding items, notes and tag and when ready Mark as Ready. We will then synchronise the transfer into your Peoplevox WMS. It will appear as a standard order but with a sales channel of Transfer Order.
Should you change your mind and cancel the transfer, the order will automatically be cancelled in Peoplevox if it has not been picked. Removing any manual work required.
The transfer order in Peoplevox will have the notes, tags and line items that you added in Shopify. The address will be that of the destination whether that be your retail store or somewhere else, so you know where to send the goods.
You can use your standard pick and packing processes to process the transfer order and dispatch it. When you have dispatched the transfer order and if you have included the usual tracking information, including tracking number. You will see this reflected in Shopify where the transfer order is now in progress. You will be able to see the shipment that is in transit, including the tracking number that has synchronised over from Peoplevox.
Then your teams can start to receive it. No more CSVs copied between systems. No more manual mistakes, just seamless transfers.
